Power Rider is the first installment to the American Neo-Rider Series and the third Rider adaptation overall. It'll be based on Kamen Rider Wizard.

In Melwood City, Marty Brown, an average high school student, rides home on the day of a solar eclipse when on his way home he sees a mysterious ceremony on the seashore. This ceremony had released demons called Phantoms into the world. When Marty goes onto the seashore to see what had happened, he is attacked by one of these Phantoms, but is saved by the mysterious Rider Master, who later on in the show is revealed to be Marty's grandfather. Marty is then given the Power Driver & Power Rings from the Rider Master, so he may protect Melwood, as Power Rider. Later on, a young man named Emmett Lloyd appears from the magic world of Mystica into reality as Beast Rider, who feeds on the Phantom's magical power in order to keep his powers & later on becomes an ally to Marty.

  • It is the first season in any american tokusatsu adaptation to have two characters with an inter-racial relationship.
  • The reason that Kamen Rider Wizard was chosen for Power Rider was that it was assumed that if the show were titled Wizard Rider and had a obvious wizard theme, parents would not let their kids watch the show due to it's seemingly-graphical nature.
